The 5-Count and crapless craps

I have a question I hope you will choose to answer. Here is my story:

I am in Tunica right now and have been playing at the Harrah's properties. Since I am a $5 or $10 player, I had been looking at my options. The $5 table was packed and was not taking any more players. I went to the $10, bought in, and placed a $10 pass line bet (I wanted to shoot when the dice came to me) and the shooter hit an 11. I cheered inside until the dealer moved the puck to 11 on the box numbers!

My question is, how do I use the five count if I am playing on a 'crapless' table? This has point numbers that only exclude 7, but have every other number. Can the Captain's 5-Count be used at a table like this? Is dice control still optimal for use at a table like this?

Play the crapless craps game as you would a regular game. Use the 5-Count just as you normally do. The only changes will be if you use come bets and get on those crazy crapper numbers (you'll have to decide if you want to place odds). However, if you use place bets, then continue as you have done. I know in Tunica they let you buy the 4 and 10 for $25 and $50 paying a $1 or $2 commission on wins only. I also think they allow the buying of the 5 and 9 but also take the vig out of wins only. So place betting is not a bad way to go.

Forget all the other bets, just as you would in a normal game. When you are shooting, the pass line bet will come in with a much higher edge of about 5%. Of course, taking odds will reduce this edge quite a bit.
