Should I shoot or pass the dice?

4 January 2009

Dear Frank,

I've not had much success with craps when I am the shooter. I guess I fall into the "occasionally establish a point, then quickly seven-out" category.

I look forward learning more and then practicing your dice control techniques — perhaps even attending a seminar in the future, but my question is, in the interim, what are your thoughts on my using the 5-Count system and simply passing the dice along when it is my turn to shoot? Will doing so have a negative impact on my chances of success at craps?

Thanks,
Tim

Dear Tim:

In a random game of craps, which is what you are playing, it doesn't matter if you shoot or don't shoot. Every time you bet, the house edge is there waiting for you. In the long run, your shooting is irrelevant. So if you like to shoot, then shoot. If you don't want to shoot, then don't shoot. There's no difference.

At this moment in your craps-playing career you are simply hoping for good luck.

Now, I always recommend that craps players use the 5-Count. You can go to http://www.goldentouchcraps.com/skinny.shtml and get some great info on the 5-Count. My book Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! teaches you how to use and how to bet with the 5-Count.

I am giving you a free 30-day subscription to my private members-only website at www.goldentouchcraps.com.

We have over 5,000 members on this private site and the conversations are interesting, enlightening and fun.

Enjoy!

All the best in and out of the casinos!
