Should I bet the Iron Cross?

Question please: What do you think about playing the numbers 5, 6 and 8 and always playing the field bet on a $5 table?

This way you are always playing on every dice roll except the number 7.

No. This is called "the Iron Cross" and it is an apt phrase. The house will be ripping your money away betting as you suggest. Every one of those bets comes in with house edges ranging from 1.5% to over 5%. Not a good idea at all. Your losses will mount up quickly.

If you want to place numbers, go with the 6 and 8 and that is all.
