Dear Charger: Good question. 600 shoes an hour is a lot; that's 10 shoes a minute! Or one shoe every 6 seconds. The dealer must have been the Flash, from the comic books. If this was simulated play then it makes sense as I guess a computer can generate those kinds of numbers that quickly. Maybe instead of shoes, the book meant "hands," in which case a super fast dealer might be able to do a hand every 6 seconds, especially if he only had one player at the table and didn't have to waste time with too many payouts. Maybe those "hands" were not actually dealt to a player but just dealt by a dealer to generate statistics. That too might be more reasonable. Hope this helps. All the best in and out of the casinos!
