Players Share Their Favorite Times to Play25 May 2021
What do other players think? Am I in good company with my opinions or are there players who love the weekends and the crowds? So I asked some players to see what they had to say. MAURY: Bring on the crowds! I love a packed casino. The excitement level is through the roof when the casino has all their tables open and slot players in every corner of the place. Everybody is hoping for a win; the adrenaline is flowing like a river. The weekdays are fine, I guess, but you don’t get that electric charge when you play weekends. BEN: I hate the smoke. I can go anytime to a casino so I have no real love of this or that time. When you own your own business as I do, you make the times you want to play. I do, however, play on the weekends more than on weekdays and I have no problem with crowds. I play blackjack and a full table is fine with me. I don’t care how other players play their hands; it’s their money and they can play their cards anyway they want. MARTINE: I am a slot player and a full casino has good elements and bad elements. With a full casino you’ll hear more screams from slot players who have won a jackpot. That’s exciting. But then sometimes the machines you want to play at the denomination you want to play them might not be available. So that’s the good with the bad. For me the bottom line is that I like to go to casinos whenever I want to go; I carve out my time based on that. TERI: I go once or twice a week to my local casino, usually during the week days. I don’t mind plenty of people in the casino but I do not like when the crowds are too big. I play blackjack and roulette. The blackjack is fine because there are six seats and that’s that. But roulette on the weekend can get very crowded and that can be uncomfortable because some players stand on the outside and lean over you to place their bets. I don’t like that. I prefer that roulette players should sit to play the game. I would not allow them to stand over you and place their bets. That’s uncomfortable for me. DWAYNE: Give me a crowded craps table. You have a better chance for someone to have a hot hand, maybe even a really long roll, than you do with fewer people. Also, I like to roll but I do like a pause between when I roll the dice. Weekends have the most players and that makes craps a great game to play. Actually, it is a great game to play no matter what. But more people is more fun for me. I don’t play any of the other games. NEWTON: I would rather be the only one in a casino. I just want to play and not have any other people around me. My wife thinks I am a misanthrope. But, hey, that’s the way I am. Empty the house! Bring me to the empty table. CAROL: Anytime, any number of people, makes no matter to me. I love to play and I will play in crowded casinos or empty casinos or half-empty casinos. Every time is a good time for me. What do I play? A mixture of slots, video poker, and blackjack. I don’t feel crowded when the casino is crowded and I don’t feel abandoned when the casino has fewer people. Playing is the thing for me. All the best in and out of the casinos!
