Is there a winning craps strategy that does not include dice control?

Listen. I really appreciate your responding to my e-mails. I know you have a busy schedule.

I did belong to the Golden Touch Craps community but my account recently expired. I'll renew sometime this month or early next month.

I have read all your books on craps. I've also read a great deal of others; including Patrick's, Ellison's and so on.

Your comments about Ellison's strategies (being the Santa Clause of gambling) were spot on, I believe.

What you said about Richard Armstrong (God Doesn't Shoot Craps: A Divine Comedy) was an interesting thing.

The reason I liked your books on the game is because you don't use any BS. And you've pretty much written on the subject more extensively then anyone else for the past 20 years. That's a long track record; while everyone else finished with just one or two reads on the game. You just kept on plugging away with book, after book. That right there says a lot. Very cool.

Just one question before I finish. Your comments on Armstrong made me think for a long time. By chance could there possibly be a strategy that does not involve rhythmic rolling/dice control? Other than what you said about Armstrong's book, that might beat the game?

Do you think that every stone has been turned over in the search for such a strategy? Or could it possibly be that since over 100 years have passed since the game's invention. Someone would have found by now?

Yes, you are right; I have been writing for a long time. I think I have written, produced or done chapters for over 40 books, plus hundreds of articles for magazines and newspapers; several television shows, two DVDs, three audio tapes and three video tapes. However, none of what I have done in the field of craps originated with me. I do believe that the recently deceased Captain set the framework for the modern strategy of craps — that is dice control and the 5-Count. These were radical ideas — and they still are. In addition, he understood the human nature of those of us playing the games. Upon his brilliant foundation all else has been built. So I give him full credit for being the giant's shoulders upon which I stand.

Now to your main question. There are no betting styles that work without the use of dice control. Armstrong's book is a fun read but it is totally fiction — and remember how the book ended. No trend betting system, no hot or cold system, no Martingale system will give you an edge over the house in a random game. You have to take charge of the game and control it with your own throw, otherwise you will lose.
