How do you deal with the back wall in a controlled dice throw?3 July 2008
Dear Rocco: The back wall is less of a problem than actually missing the back wall. I know that is hard to believe but a controlled throw as taught by Golden Touch Craps is geared to hitting those pyramids. If you miss the pyramids the roll tends to be completely random as the two dice are doing different movements. Now, yes, the back wall help reduce the supposed perfection of a throw quite a bit. Let us say that you start your throw at a 98% of perfection — your stance is perfect; your set is perfect; your throw is almost perfect . . . then nature takes over as those dice head into the air. The dice start to expand the small flaws in the throw; they hit on the table top and the felt which also take away much of your close to perfect throw. Once the dice hit those pyramids even more of their now-lost perfection is gone. Now the dice bounce back, roll, and stop. They are no longer 98% near perfection - they are more like one to 5% near perfection. That is now your edge. Yes, even hitting those pyramids will not take away all of a Golden Touch throw, just most of it. Still with a one to five percent edge you can beat the casinos at craps. Is getting this edge easy? No, it takes a lot of practice. The really elite Golden Touch dice controllers can get far higher edges than those I mentioned in this response. For your great letter I am giving you a free 10-day subscription to my private website at www.goldentouchcraps.com. There are over 5,000 members on this site and many of them are the best dice controllers in the world. I think you will find the conversations to be interesting, educational and fun. I hope you enjoy them. You can also partake in all discussions. All the best in and out of the casinos! Frank Scoblete This article is provided by the Frank Scoblete Network. Melissa A.
