Final four advantage slot machines27 January 2015
These machines cannot be found in Atlantic City but can be found in some casinos in Nevada, the Midwest and Mississippi. Good Times How It Works: There are two versions of this game; 3 credits with 10x multiplier maximum and two credits with 12x multiplier maximum. Three blanks (ghosts) on the pay line with maximum coin-in cause the multiplier line to be increased by one. A “Good Times” symbol (the “X” symbol) that lands on the pay line is wild, and if the other symbols on the pay line combine with it to make a winner, the payoff is multiplied by the left column, which can be a one through a 10 or a 12, depending on the game. If two “Good Times” symbols land on the pay line, both are wild and combine with the remaining symbol for the win. The normal win amount is multiplied by the second column multiplier (which is the square of the first column multiplier). A winning combination with two “Good Times” symbols pays one to 100 (or one to 144) times the normal amount depending on the multiplier line. What to Look For: This game is positive when the multiplier line is 7x/49x or higher. This is true regardless of whether it is a 10x or 12x maximum. How to Play: Play the maximum credits per spin (three credits for the 10x and two credits for the 12x) until you collect a win that has a “Good Times” symbol on the pay line. After you collect your winnings you must play one more time to reset the multiplier to a random value. Play the maximum credits. If the multiplier is 7x or higher continue playing, otherwise depart. You no longer have an advantage. Bankroll Requirements: Your bankroll should be at least 800 credits. This amounts to $200 for the 25¢ game. Comments: This game is quite volatile. It can take a very long time to win the multiplied bonus. Once you sit down, plan to stay a while. You will have many small wins with varying losses. But, you will occasionally have a very large (two wild symbols) win that puts you way ahead. Slot Bingo How It Works: A special red or green symbol on the pay line randomly selects a “bingo” number on the red or green card, respectively. A bonus is collected when you complete a winning bingo card. On some machines, one or two jackpot symbols on the pay line when you complete the winning bingo card will multiply the win by three (one symbol) or nine (two symbols). What to Look For: This game is positive when either of the two flashboards (red or green) has 50 or more numbers lighted (selected). How to Play: Play one credit per spin until you complete a “bingo” and collect the bonus. This amounts to 25¢ a spin for the standard 25¢ machine. Bankroll Requirements: Your minimum bankroll must be at least 240 credits. This amounts to $60 for the 25¢ game. Comments: This game has some volatility. Games can also stretch out for a while, or they also can move fairly quickly. Win/loss amounts tend to vary quite a bit. Money Factory How It Works: The game displays a money factory that is full of conveyor belts on which sit “minted prizes” containing various amounts of bonus credits. The conveyor belts are divided into units, and a prize is minted on every fifth unit. The conveyor belt system moves so that the prizes advance toward the end of the system. When a prize reaches the end of the system, the player is awarded that prize’s credit amount. What to Look For: This game is positive when a bundle of 200 or more is on the conveyor belt. How to Play: Play one credit per spin until you collect the bonus. This amounts to 25¢ a spin for the standard 25¢ machine. Bankroll Requirements: Your minimum bankroll must be at least 240 credits. This amounts to $60 for the 25¢ game. Comments: This game has some volatility. Games can stretch out for a while, or they may move fairly quickly. Win/loss amounts tend to vary quite a bit. Kool Kat How It Works: When a “Kool Kat” symbol appears on the pay line, the corresponding pile receives an additional hat of various types. Periodically the hat is a crown that lands on the “Kat’s” head. Having a Kool Kat symbol on the pay line while the “Kat” has the crown wins the number of hats in the corresponding pile as a bonus. The pile is then emptied. What to Look For: This game is positive if any of the following is true: • There is a crown on the “Kool Kat’s” head. • 99 or more hats are in one pile. • 75 or more hats in each of two piles. • 51 or more hats in each of three piles. How to Play: Play one credit per spin until you collect the hats from one of the piles. After collecting, re-evaluate whether you still have an advantage and take the appropriate action; stay if you do, leave if you don’t. Bankroll Requirements: Your minimum bankroll must be at least 160 credits. This amounts to $40 for the 25¢ game. Comments: This game has little volatility. Games tend to be fairly short. You tend to win more than you lose and many wins can be quite substantial when compared to your risk.
