Do I Really Have to Wait for the 5-Count?29 December 2005
Dear Brian: The 5-Count will reduce the number of random rolls you're wagering on by 57 percent. This is a fact and two gaming mathematicians have verified this fact. If you have the updated version of the above book, there is a chapter on the 5-Count that goes through what it can (and can't do). If you are betting the pass line on all shooters, each bet on the random ones will cost you about 7 cents per five-dollars wagered. Since I have been using the 5-Count for many years now, I swear by it. If you have to bet on random rollers, eliminating 57 percent of their rolls is a great thing. So follow the book and do it my way! Frank Scoblete This article is provided by the Frank Scoblete Network. Melissa A. Kaplan is the network's managing editor.
