Do I get more slot points for playing dollar machines than quarter machines?5 June 2008
Dear V.V.: One would think so. If you play full coin in most one-dollar machines, you are usually putting in three dollars per spin. The 25-cent machine would see you putting in 75 cents. Now there is a difference in payouts on these machines as the dollar machines usually pay back more than quarter machines. However, this is very low compared to how much a dollar player actually loses — almost four times more than a 25-cent player. Given the same number of spins, the dollar player should get close to four times more in bonus and tier points. Now, before you play in a casino you should ask this very same question of your host or of the slot manager. For you letter, I am giving you a free 10-day subscription to my private, members-only website at www.goldentouchcraps.com. We have over 5,000 members on this site and the discussions are lively, interesting, and fun. Enjoy! All the best in and out of the casinos!
