Did Archie Karas win $22 million with controlled shooting at craps?13 May 2007
Dear Bob: Wow! This program has inflated the story somewhat. Archie Karas won about 17 million at the Horseshoe in Vegas in both poker and craps; his craps play occuring only after he had defeated some of the greatest poker players in head-to-head matches over the course of several weeks. He therefore had a decent bankroll when he started playing craps. I hate to bust your hope but Archie was not a controlled shooter and he was a wild gambler. What he experienced was a streak of profoundly good luck. I have a small section in my book Casino Gambling: Play Like a Pro in 10 Minutes or Less about Archie and other players who had tremendous streaks. You can buy this from Amazon.com or from me directly at 1-800-944-0406. It's $14 plus $4.05 for priority shipping. The sad thing about this story is that, being a wild gambler, Archie lost it all back as most wild gamblers do even after such extraordinary streaks. The last he was seen (as rumor has it) he was sleeping in his car in a parking lot. I am giving you a free one-month subscription to my private web site at www.goldentouchcraps.com. All the best in and out of the casinos! Frank Scoblete Recent Articles
