Dice Control Problems8 November 2022
“I want you to know that there is something off about some of these so-called ‘professional’ craps players who claim that they can manipulate the dice to give them an edge. I think some of them are full of it. I think that some are so off that they are liars. “Here is an example. One guy, a very nice guy too, bragged that he hit a bet with over a 20 percent house edge. One other person, a loud mouth, claimed to be able to hit the All Tall / All Small Bet. Can a dice manipulator do that other than by luck? I doubt it. “These guys are shoveling it, right? Come out and tell us. “Kenny” Dear Kenny: I agree with you that these guys are shoveling it. If you can beat a bet with a 20 percent house edge --- why make it? Bet on something with around a one-percent house edge and rake the wins in. If they bet high enough, they could own their own casino after a while. In this area of casino play the BS is piled quite high. In the world of dice influencing or dice control (two names, same thing), some folks do inflate their abilities – if they actually have any abilities. The bottom line is that it’s a tight contest between the dice influencer and the game. Anyone who wants you to believe they can work miracles by making poor bets and consistently winning them are far short of miracle workers; their only miracle is convincing other players to believe them. When I was teaching the subject, I was really disappointed that students paid good money to learn the techniques and the careful betting strategies and what did they ultimately do? They continued to bet stupidly and think they had attained a strong throw when they had no throw whatsoever. When I told would-be dice controllers that it could take months or longer to be able to manipulate the dice, they headed to the casinos that night! They were gamblers, pure and simple. Even some teachers recommend that students go to the casinos right away after a class. That’s bad advice. I am sure many teachers of other subjects are often flabbergasted by how little of their teaching is actually learned or how much is correctly put into practice by their students. Look, if you go to college and choose not to study but to spend your time partying, you become an idiot with a college degree who lives a sham, pretending to be what you aren’t, that is truly educated. Can dice control work? Yes. But it takes much practice and wise betting choices. The practice and the betting choices are also the stumbling blocks for almost all would-be dice influencers. Gamblers – and plenty of would-be advantage players are actually just gamblers – they do not want to take it slowly or even change anything. They just want to win without doing the proper work. Okay, there is my reaction. The casino gambling world is littered with sad cases who bought into garbage, sadder cases who taught garbage and awful cases of those who allowed the garbage to swallow them. Bad execution of even excellent strategies will result in losses. All the best in and out of the casinos! Frank Frank Scoblete’s web site is www.frankscoblete.com.
