Craps Questions

Hello, Frank,

I just recently started playing craps and have some questions for you if you could please kindly answer them:

1) For example, when the point has been established at 4, I see some people that just came into the table put a bet on the outer border of the pass line. Is this considered a place bet on the 4?

Scobe: Either that or a Pass Line bet. The pay is $9 to $5 if it's a Place bet and $5 for $5 if it's a Pass Line bet.

2) If the point is 6, and I have bets and odds on the 5 and 8 (due to previous come bets), what happens to my bets on the 5 and 8 when the shooter hits the point? Am I allowed to take my bets and odds off the table or just the odds?

Scobe: The bets have to stay up but you can remove the odds.

3) I made place bets on the 6 and 8 when it was off, the shooter rolled a 6 and I was paid accordingly, but when the shooter rolled a 7, my bet wasn't lost. This seems like a win-win situation. Do I only lose my place bets when they are on?

Scobe: I think the dealer made a mistake. If your bets are off, they don't win if they hit and they don't lose if the 7 hit. You received a free gifts from the gambling gods.
