Craps player can't shake off double pitch

Hi Mr. Scoblete,

I have read most of your books on craps and have been playing craps in Macau for over two years now. Craps is getting even more popular in Macau this past year.

Although I practice at home I still can’t shake off the double pitch. Is it my grip? Also how to beat hard tables? I tried low and soft pitch but still don’t have good performances on hard tables.

Also it would be nice if you can offer the Golden Touch Dice Control class in Macau.

The double-pitch is a problem for most dice controllers. Usually it is the ring finger that is not aligned perfectly and it retards the motion of the dice in the air. You'll note that it might hang a little lower. Just check with a mirror to make sure your fingers are straight across the dice.

Will this completely solve the double-pitch? No. As good as you get, those double pitches will still appear.

As far as "hard tables" I am thinking a table with not much bounce. Hard usually means the dice just die when they hit the felt. So land them much closer to the back wall. If you mean "hard" as in bouncy, then land them further away and slower than slow. The bounce will be strong enough to take the slowest throw to the back wall.

I'd love to do a class in Macau but we have many instructors and the cost would be through the roof getting everyone there and paying their salaries. We'd have to charge a prohibitive amount.
