Can you place a don't pass bet after the point has been established?29 July 2007
Dear Potential Darksider: From your computer to God's ears. The Darksider faces the hammering from the house edge on the come-out roll and when he first places a don't come bet where the house wins eight times (the 7 and 11) and loses only 3 times (the 2 and 3, with the 12 being a push). Once the don't come actually makes it up to a number the player has a substantial edge over the house - two to one on the 4 and 10; three to two on the 5 and 9; and six to five on the 6 and 8. These monstrous edges would allow the player to own the casino in short order if the casino allowed the player to go right up on the numbers without having to go through an initial placements on the don't pass line and the don't come. The only reason the casino allows you to "put" a pass line or come bet directly on a number is the fact that the casino just pays off that "put" bet at even money and thus has a large edge on it since the bet did not go through the player favorable pass line or come placement which gives the player an eight (7 and 11) to four (2, 3, and 12) edge. The casinos have worked out the math of the game to win more bets than they lose or to take a cut from the players' winning bets. The only way to beat craps is to learn the Golden Touch dice control throw. I am giving you a free month on our web site www.goldentouchcraps.com for your question. Enjoy - there are 5,000 members on the site. All the best in and out of the casinos! Frank Scoblete Do you have a question for Frank? Send it to Ask Frank.
