Can I lay the 4 and bet the hard ways at the same time?

Dear Frank:

If I buy the 4 in craps, does that include the soft 4 and, if so, can I lay the 4 and bet $15 on a hard 4 and buy the 4? All three bets is what I'm saying and all of them at the same time?

When you buy the 4, you are buying all the possible 4s (2:2, 3:1, and 1:3). Yes, you can also lay the 4 and bet the hard ways at the same time. All three bets can be made together. In my new book Casino Craps: Shoot to Win! I go over all of these bets in detail.
