Tech Glitch Delays Release of Kentucky Ruling

15 October 2008

Expect a ruling Thursday in the Kentucky domain-name seizure case that has ominously captivated the Internet gambling industry -- 141 operators in particular -- for three weeks.

During a hearing last Thursday, Franklin County Circuit Court Judge Thomas D. Wingate said he needed seven days to rule on whether 141 domain names belonging to online gambling operators could be seized and forfeited by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Christine Richards, Judge Wingate’s secretary, told IGamingNews by telephone this afternoon that computer problems at the office have delayed the ruling from being published today, but it will be delivered "sometime tomorrow."

IGN will follow up as soon as the ruling is handed down.
