GOING ONLINE Genting International confirmed it will launch its first online gambling site, in the United Kingdom, called CircusCasino.com.

Genting International's wholly-owned unit, Genting Stanley Alderney Ltd., acquired in 2006, will run the site.

The site will be available to players worldwide for play-for-fun games, the company said.

However, only players from the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are permitted to deposit funds and play on the site, which offers more than 100 casino, card and table games, it added.

GOING GREEN Betfair, the international Internet betting exchange, has unveiled the world's biggest ever advertisement -- it has been confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records -- to promote itself during the final rounds of the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship in Vienna, Austria.

In a field near Vienna International Airport airborne, football fans can see the agricultural advertisement, which covers an area of 436,000 sq. ft.

The ad, which took more than four months to install and cultivate, is made up of a variety of plants that display the message "No. 1 for football. . . and still growing."

The UEFA Euro championship ends on Sunday.

TRADING UPDATE Webis Holdings, the United Kingdom-based online gaming operator, said on Thursday that revenues for the group had improved over the last financial year.

In a trading update related to its upcoming financial results for the year ended May 25, 2008, Webis, operator of the betInternet.com sports book portal and pari-mutuel operation, European Wagering Service, said both divisions of the company continued to make progress as a whole the year.

No specific numbers were divulged in the trading update, but Webis' annual report is due to be released October 2008.
