Station Casinos to hire 1,000 new employees14 January 2011
Valerie Murzl, corporate vice president of human resources and training, said the new positions showed the company's strong "commitment to reinvesting in our community." The available job types include dealers, bartenders, waitress, hotel operations, security, chefs and kitchen assistants. There are 500 full-time and 500 part-time positions being offered, Murzl said. Applications for all positions are taken online at www.stationcasinos.com. Murzl said applicants can find the job listings under the careers section on the company's website. The company will not accept written resumes or applications, but assistance will be available online. Murzl said if an applicant meets the initial qualifications they'll be contacted immediately by a company recruiter. On Jan. 19 and 20, Station's will hold a hiring event at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa. She said the property has over 300 openings, with the company looking to interview about 800 candidates over those two days. "This is one-stop shopping," she said. "If you are approved by a recruiter then operations, you'll immediately be walked over to human resources to fill out the paperwork."
