New to Las Vegas? Don't know where to go to satisfy your craving for some serious slot machine play, and don't know where to start looking? Casino City has your back.

We searched our database for casinos in the Las Vegas area with the biggest slot machine counts. For those of you who have been to Vegas, maybe you've thought about visiting a few of these properties and haven't gone through with it. Why not now?

10. Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall – Las Vegas, Nevada
Opened in 1979 as one of the first local casinos in the Las Vegas Valley, Sam's Town has come a long way since then, adding amenities, entertainment and new machines.

Today, Sam's Town has 1,960 slot machines. Players can use the penny slots if they're feeling frugal, and can search for a specific slot by denomination and reel count on the casino's website.

9. Suncoast Hotel and Casino – Las Vegas, Nevada
Originally called Sundance – a name that was changed due to objections from the Sundance Film Festival – this casino features 1,972 slot machines.

At its 2000 opening, about 96% of these slot machines were coin-free, using vouchers as their preferred form of payout for wins over 200 credits.

8. Wynn Las Vegas – Las Vegas, Nevada
This $2.7 billion resort is home to 2,000 slot machines, which may seem like a startlingly small number when you consider the size of this place – then again, it is a resort, not just a casino. Take note of the property's multiple shows, nightclubs and high-quality restaurants.

Still, it has enough slots to get it onto this list, so give it some credit, will you?

7. Sunset Station Hotel and Casino – Henderson, Nevada
Sunset Station features 2,130 of the "loosest slot machines in Las Vegas" – according to the website, anyway. This winner of the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Best Slots award says it all, however: plenty of selection and variety enough to keep almost everyone entertained.

6. Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa and Casino – Henderson, Nevada
This upscale casino has 2,325 slot machines on display for local guests and out-of-towners alike.

Aside from the impressive slot count, this property has appeared on quite a few television shows: an episode of American Casino was filmed here in 2004, and a few episodes of CSI were set on the property's grounds.

5. South Point Hotel Casino and Spa – Las Vegas, Nevada
South Point, set right along the Las Vegas Boulevard, features 2,370 slot machines.

The property, opened in 2005, has hosted NBC's Poker After Dark and the World Series of Bowling in 2014, and was shown on the Travel Channel in Vegas Stripped.

4. Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino – Las Vegas, Nevada
Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino snagged the title of "Best Locals Casino" in 2008, awarded by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. And with 2,405 slot machines, it's easy to see why.

The casino also offers a host of bonuses, promotions and free slot play.

3. The Orleans – Las Vegas, Nevada
This popular destination houses 2,525 slot machines. The gaming floor is also home to video poker and video keno machines, and table games like blackjack, craps and Pai Gow poker. Its 25-table Poker Room was named "Best of Las Vegas" by the Las Vegas Review-Journal's readers.

Aside from slots, The Orleans also has a movie theater, video game arcade and conference facilities.

2. Boulder Station Hotel & Casino – Las Vegas, Nevada
Boulder Station's selection of 2,535 slot machines include free slot play for Boarding Pass players' club members. The casino added over 180 new slot machines last year, including the popular 88 Fortunes.

1. Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa – Summerlin, Nevada
Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa takes first place with its 2,860 slot machines. Located in Summerlin, a bit of a trek from the main Las Vegas Strip, this is more of a "locals casino" than anything, but it may be worth checking out if you're hankering for some serious slot choice.

The resort also features a spa, fancy movie theaters, a bowling alley and 11 restaurants.
