Top-10 Tweets Phil Hellmuth would have sent out upon winning his 12th WSOP bracelet

13 June 2011

Phil Hellmuth — the poker player everyone has an opinion about — came oh-so-close to winning a record 12th World Series of Poker bracelet over the weekend, finishing second to John Juanda in the $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship.

After holding a 3-1 chip advantage early in heads up play, Hellmuth saw the bracelet slip through his fingers, and with it, another opportunity to extend his lead on Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan and the rest of the field in all-time bracelets.

Just like everyone else who follows poker, we're devoted followers of Hellmuth on Twitter, and while we've enjoyed his post-tournament tweets, we couldn't help but wonder what he'd be tweeting if he'd won the title.

Without further ado, we bring you our top-10 list of things Hellmuth would have tweeted had he pulled off the win.

10. Dom's on me!

DOM'S ON ME! Drink up everybody!

9. Luckbox shmuckbox

8. MANNING UP

I wasn't "feeling it" before the tourney began. But I MANNED UP and won my 12th bracelet.

7. Jerry Buss

I wonder if Jerry Buss will take 2-7 lessons as payment for Lakers seats.

6. Phelps shoutout

Just two more gold bracelets and I'll have as much bling as my good friend Michael Phelps aka @PhelpsTheFish!

5. I'm the very best

Sometimes it's easy to forget that I'm the very best at what I do

4. Time for some scotch

Thought about drinking the 25 yr old Macallan at Aria "High Roller" bar, but went with the 50. How often do you win your 12th bracelet?

3. Ivey and Chinese Poker

Celebrating #12 with some Chinese Poker vs. Ivey. Hey, if he's not going to play in the @WSOP, he's gotta earn a living somehow.

2. Mark Cuban

Congrats to Dallas Mavericks owner @mcuban! It feels great to be a champion, doesn't it?

Aaron Todd

Home-game hotshot Aaron Todd was an editor/writer at Casino City for nearly eight years, and is currently the Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications and Marketing at St. Lawrence University, his alma mater. While he is happy to play Texas Hold'em, he'd rather mix it up and play Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, Deuce-to-Seven Triple Draw, and Badugi.
