Woman jailed in gambling embezzlement case

CONNECTICUT -- A woman has been sentenced to 2 years in prison after claiming pay for time she was actually gambling in casinos, The Day reported.

Lisa E. Bloomer claimed hours that amounted to $200,000 in her state employment, the report said.

She is accused of forging payroll for hours when she was gambling in Connecticut's casinos, The Day reported.
