Pennsylvania governor blasts table games delay

2 November 2009

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania -- Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell blasted the state legislature on Friday for delaying table-games legislation, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Rendell wants to use revenue from table games to close the state's budget gap.

The governor warned at a news conference that more inaction will result in delays of payments to hospitals, colleges, and other economic development projects, according to the Inquirer.
