Mint plans to rebuild near current location11 December 2006SPARKS, Nevada -- As reported by the Reno Gazette-Journal: "The Mint casino on Victorian Square plans to move next year to a new building nearby, making way for the ongoing redevelopment on the downtown square. "The Mint owner plans to break ground on the new building just west of the Silver Club casino by March and be finished by next winter, he said. "...The new Mint, between Victorian Penny Park and the Silver Club, will be about the same size as the existing casino, but in a taller building in line with the build-up city officials want to see along the square, (Mint owner) Carl Giudici said. "...Giudici is investing $6 million to $7 million to relocate The Mint..." |
