Israel: Top crime figures charged for online gaming ring

ISRAEL -- Five suspects have now been indicted on illegal gambling charges in Petah Tikva District Court, Haaretz reported.

Among the five suspects were two brothers, all are also suspected of running an online gambling racket between 2000 and 2002 that involved internet cafes, kiosks and lottery stations, according to Haaretz.

The operation, which involved the Dominican Republic and Cyprus, used the venues as though they were casinos, the DA office explained in the Haaretz report.
