Cricket spot-fixing trial judge will accept majority verdict

31 October 2011

LONDON, England -- The judge in the cricket-spot fixing trial of two Pakistani cricketers has told the jury he will accept a majority verdict, The Guardian reported.

The jurors in the trial of Salman Butt and Mohammed Asif have now been deliberating for two days and have failed to reach a unanimous verdict, the report said.

The two players, who deny the charges, stand accused of match fixing and accepting bribes, The Guardian reported.
