Gary casino owner wants to open casino in northeast Indiana19 December 2007HAMMOND, Indiana -- As reported by the Associated Press: "Don Barden wants to consolidate the two Gary Majestic Star casinos he owns on Lake Michigan into a single larger operation and use one of the state gaming licenses to open a new casino in northeastern Indiana. "Barden said Monday he had been in talks with state Sen. Robert Meeks, R-LaGrange, who has filed a bill to allow the move to Steuben County, which borders Michigan and Ohio.
