New Hampshire casino bill introduced

PORTSMOUTH. New Hampshire – As reported by the Fosters News: "The ante has been raised in the effort to bring a casino to Pease International Tradeport.

"Bandied about for years, Republican state Sen. John Gallus has introduced Senate Bill 225 authorizing the building of an 'economic development resort and casino' in Portsmouth and his hometown of Berlin.

"The bill would also allow video slot machines in locations within northern Coos County.

"…The casino gambling debate arises every few years in New Hampshire. In 2002, the Legislature rejected a similar bill to put a casino in Berlin and video slot machines at the state's four race tracks…"
