Charters keep dice rolling in Biloxi27 August 2008BILOXI, Mississippi -- As reported by the Biloxi Sun-Herald: "Coast casinos are chartering flights to get the best players to Biloxi. "Jeremiah Gerald, air service development manager at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, said every month 15 to 20 flights bring 120 to 150 people each from around the country. "'That has helped tremendously keeping our passenger numbers up,' said Gerald. Harrah's Grand Biloxi and Beau Rivage Casino Resort are operating the charters and they, along with IP Casino Resort, partner with AirTran to offer daily direct service from Atlanta, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale. "...'We have several programs,' said Lu Ann Pappas, vice president of marketing for the Grand Biloxi. When a city has a direct commercial flight into Gulfport-Biloxi, Harrah's purchases tickets for guests.
