St. Louis casino results down

ST. LOUIS, Missouri -- As reported by the St. Louis Business Journal: "In June, all but one of the St. Louis area's six casinos suffered from declining revenue and all but one saw a drop in admissions, according to figures released Thursday from the Missouri Gaming Commission and Illinois Gaming Board.

"Overall, the St. Louis market had revenue of $81.2 million in June, down 3 percent from $78.7 million last June.

"The casinos reported 2.2 million customers combined in June, up 10 percent from 2 million last year. Last year's figures do not include Pinnacle Entertainment's Lumiere Place, which opened Dec. 19..."
