UltimateBet launches Tour of Duty Challenge

MIAMI -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Fighting your way through cash games, Sit and Gos and multi-table tournaments just got substantially more rewarding. UltimateBet today announced the Tour of Duty Challenge, an ongoing contest where online poker players can compete for a piece of a potential $260,000 every month just by playing the games they love.

"There's more than just honor at stake in UltimateBet's Tour of Duty Challenge," stated Annie Duke, UltimateBet's Cardroom Consultant. "We're turning poker chips into weaponry, poker tables into battlefields and players at UltimateBet into 5 Star Generals."

The ongoing Tour of Duty Challenge runs from 12:00 a.m. ET on the 15th of every month through 11:59:59 p.m. ET on the 14th of the following month.

Each competition consists of three different medalist divisions--5 Star, 3 Star and 1 Star--for Cash Game players and another three divisions for Sit and Go and Multi-Table Tournaments players. To qualify for a division, players must earn a specific number of RAI$E Status Points per day for a minimum number of days. The number of points required to qualify for a division is flexible based on how many days a player chooses to play.

Once players have qualified for a division, they'll be automatically entered into a freeroll on the first Saturday that falls after the 14th of the month. The amount of money at stake depends on the medalist division that a player has qualified for. The winners of the six division freerolls--three for Cash Game players and three for Sit and Go and Multi-Table Tournaments players--will play in two 3-man winner-take-all tournaments for $5,000 each. The winner of those two tournaments will then battle it out for another $5,000 and the chance to play Phil Hellmuth for up to $50,000.

The Tour of Duty Challenge is part of UltimateBet's newly created UB Army program, a community of poker enthusiasts who share a distinct passion for the game both online and at land-based events.
