Former casino financier sentenced

MUSKOGEE,Oklahoma -- As reported by the Oklahoman: "A federal judge today sentenced a former casino financier to prison for his role in a scheme to rake millions of dollars through illegal Indian gaming contracts.

"Ivy Kwok Ong was sentenced to 39 months in federal prison on each of two felony counts: conspiracy to commit tax fraud and conspiracy to pay illegal gratuities. U.S. District Judge Ronald White ordered the sentences to run at the same time.

"...He will be on probation for three years upon his release from prison, Assistant U.S. Attorney Linda Epperley said.

"...The investigation of Ong and the Seminole Nation stemmed from reports of prostitution and drug sales occurring outside the tribe's convenience store at Interstate 40 and State Highway 99 in Seminole County..."
