PBL looks offshore21 November 2007AUSTRALIA -- As reported by the Australia Herald Sun: "Publishing and Broadcasting says it has commenced due diligence on a gaming business outside of Australia. "PBL said if it bought the business, reportedly a US casino, and another two business it is also considering, most of the cash reserves of its Crown casino operation would be used towards the purchase. "...The Australian Financial Review newspaper today reported that PBL was eyeing a casino business in Pennsylvania, which could be Harrah's Chester Casino or the Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino, at a cost of $2 billion ($2.24 billion). "PBL is preparing to separate its gaming and media businesses into two individually listed companies, ahead of a planned $2 billion capital return to shareholders..." |
