Sheffield official criticizes super-casino process

SHEFFIELD, England – As reported by the Sheffield Today News: "Council's top officer has criticised the selection process for the UK's first super casino in which the city lost out to Manchester.

"The authority's chief executive Sir Bob Kerslake said having just one venue in the entire country means it will be difficult to accurately test its social impact.

"…Mr Kerslake said: 'Sheffield City Council strongly believes that one single regional casino pilot is insufficient to undertake an effective analysis of the impacts of regional casinos.'…"
