Terrible's Numbers Up

LaGRANGE, Missouri – As reported by the Quincy Herald-Whig: "— A big jump in patronage translated into higher revenue last month at Terrible's Mark Twain Casino.

"Figures released by the Missouri Gaming Commission show the LaGrange casino logged 51,325 patrons in January, a 43 percent gain from a year ago.

"The patronage jump helped boost the casino's monthly revenue, which rose to $2,801,825, a 31 percent increase from January 2005. That revenue total was the fourth-best in the 55 months since the casino started operating in July 2001.

"As usual, most of the casino's revenue — $2.54 million, or nearly 91 percent — came from slot machine winnings. Table game revenue amounted to $254,426, or about 9 percent of the total…"
