Poker Player Tweets of the Week: Green Friday edition

28 February 2014

The day has finally arrived.

On Friday, nearly three years after Black Friday, when the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) shut down Full Tilt and seized players' bankrolls from the website, several players finally got back their money.

It's a day that will go down in poker history, and many in the industry have dubbed it "Green Friday." (Why does this stuff keep happening on Fridays, anyway?)

In place of my usual Tweets of the Week column, I've decided to join in the celebration by compiling tweets that have captured the emotion of this great day. Let's just all take a few minutes to sit back and take in that sweet smell of justice.

Poker Player Tweets of the Week: Green Friday edition is republished from Online.CasinoCity.com.
Dan Podheiser

Dan Podheiser has covered the gambling industry since 2013, but he has been an avid poker player for more than a decade, starting when he was just 14 years old. When he turned 18, he played online poker regularly on U.S.-friendly sites until Black Friday in April 2011.

Since graduating from Emerson College with a degree in journalism in 2010, Dan has worked as the sports editor for a chain of newspapers in Northwest Connecticut and served a year as an Americorps*VISTA, writing and researching grant proposals for a Boston-based charity.

Originally from South Jersey, where he still visits occasionally to see his family (and play on the state's regulated online poker sites), Dan lives in Brighton, Mass. with his wife and dog.
