Squeaky clean Singapore will have get the cane out again after an "illegal" gambling operation was raided by local police on March 1st. The operation, said by the Straits Times newspaper to be turning over some 30 million Singapore dollars (US$ about 25 million) had a central computer site in a suburban apartment and 10 selling offices throughout the Island State of Singapore.

Grand Casinos has entered into an agreement with one of golf's premier course designers, Jack Nicklaus, for the design and development of an 18-hole championship golf course on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The course will be part of a major sports complex situated on a 1,750-acre site in Harrison County. The complex will be a shared access facility to service guests of both Grand Casino Gulfport and Grand Casino Biloxi.
