World's Biggest Hotel Opens in Malaysia27 October 2001MALAYSIA – Oct. 27, 2001 –As reported by Leisure World: "First World Hotel, the latest addition to the consortium of five existing hotels in Genting Highlands, is big on superlatives. "When fully completed in 2003, the First World Hotel beats even the MGM hotel in Las Vegas. It boasts of 6300 rooms that can accommodate more than 12,000 guests, a lobby that has 32 check-in counters, a 44,600 sq feet coffee house that seats 1338, a 280,000 sq feet indoor theme park, a 30-lane bowling centre and shops that occupy a total of 45,000sq ft retail space. "Sheer numbers alone cannot measure the wide assortment of attractions and entertainment that the hotel offers. "The First World Hotel also offers amenities for business meetings. With a floor space of 106,000 sq ft, the hotel makes a determined pitch at the event business. |
