Woman Uses Head to Raise Money24 August 2005SPARKS, Nevada – (PRESS RELEASE) -- GoldenPalace.com, the online casino famous for turning eBay into the ultimate advertising vehicle by acquiring several outrageous items is at it again. They have paid $18,000 to shave a woman's head and permanently tattoo "GoldenPalacePoker.com," the website of the popular online poker room, on her bare cranium. The eBay seller, Molly Demers, will be wearing the casino's brand on the top and back of her bald head for one year. "I live in Reno which is full of tourists," said Molly on her eBay page. "Can you imagine standing in a grocery store line and there's some bald chick with a huge tattoo on her head? Wouldn't you be curious? Of course you would!" Molly is donating the hair that will be shaved to Locks Of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. "We're very happy to help Molly, who will be using this money to pay for her education, as well as the deserving charity that will receive her hair," said GoldenPalace.com CEO Richard Rowe. "This is a new step in edgy marketing, and people are sure to take notice. With all the advertising clutter out there, I think this type of human advertising will become more and more popular." Setting the standard in marketing creativity, GoldenPalace.com has devised some of the most exciting and outrageous advertising campaigns in the past few years. Recently, items such as the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Britney Spears' Pregnancy Test, and Pope Benedict XVI's previously-owned VW Golf have garnered extensive worldwide media attention for the casino.
