Woman Beaten by Casino Worker

JACKPOT, Nevada – As reported by the Elko Daily Free Press: "A 74-year-old woman suffered a broken arm and bruises Saturday when she was attacked by a man who was apparently trying to take her purse, according to the Elko County Sheriff's Office.

"Sheriff Neil Harris said Elanor Robinett of Twin Falls was `savagely attacked with a tire iron in the parking lot of Cactus Petes.'

"…Isauro Gonzalez Lujan, 21, of Jackpot was charged with assault with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm. The booking sheet at the Elko County Jail indicated that Gonzalez Lujan was employed as a change person at Four Jacks Casino in Jackpot.

"`We are going for additional charges of attempted robbery and abuse of the elderly,' Harris said…"
