WMS Gaming Secures Worldwide Rights to Manufacture Hollywood Squares-Themed Gaming Devices29 January 2001WAUKEGAN, Ill. and HOLLYWOOD, California .-- (Press Release) -- Jan. 29, 2001 --WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE:WMS), announced today that it has entered into a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products whereby WMS has secured the exclusive worldwide licensing rights to develop, manufacture and market gaming devices based on the popular television celebrity game show, Hollywood Squares®. The Hollywood Squares-themed game will feature the likeness and voice of ``center square'' Whoopi Goldberg incorporated into the game design, and WMS anticipates submitting the game for regulatory approval within the next twelve months. This marquee license joins MONOPOLY®, JUMBLE®, SCRABBLE®, PICTIONARY® and PAC-MAN® as the sixth world-class branded property to be developed by WMS for participation games in the last two years. ``The phenomenal popularity and branding of this blockbuster license further enhances WMS Gaming's position as one of the top suppliers in the popular, growing participation market,'' said Brian R.
