Viva Las Vegas at Casino Royale Night at the Friars Club of California11 October 2000BEVERLY HILLS, California -- (Press Release) -- Oct. 11, 2000 -- Feeling lucky? Friars Club members and their guests will try their luck against celebrity dealers at a Las Vegas-style Casino Royale Night at the Friars Club of California. The event will take place on Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at 6 p.m., and the evening's proceeds will benefit The Friars Charitable Foundation. With celebrity dealers, fabulous prizes, a caricature artist, a fortune teller/tarot card reader, silent auction and a VIP high roller room, this event is sure to be a ``winner'' for all in attendance. The room will come alive with Steve Allen, Jack Carter, Norm Crosby, Fyvush Finkel, Shecky Greene, Monty Hall, Martin Landau, Fred Travalena, Dick Van Patten and Joe Viterelli as the dealers. The event is being produced by Friars Club Entertainment Director John Francis. ``Casino Royale Night is a good way to have fun while raising money for a great cause,'' says Stella Stambler, president of The Friars Charitable Foundation. ``It is an opportunity to bring new faces inside of the Club to let them see the laughter and camaraderie that is tradition with all Friars Club events.'' About the Friars Club The Friars Club of California, a private club, began in 1946 with Hollywood legends such as Jack Benny, George Burns and active member Milton Berle. Today, the Friars Club boasts a complete exercise facility, fine dining and activities for members ranging from plays to trips.
