Virtgame.com to Focus as Application Service Provider13 July 2000SAN DIEGO, California--(Press Release)--July 13, 2000--Virtgame.com Corp. (OTCBB:VGTI - news) announced Thursday that due to market demand for its Internet Gaming Software and proprietary ``eBorder Control'' technology, it has positioned itself as an Internet Application Service Provider to the Internet Lottery and Sports Book market. Virtgame.com has developed two separate eBorder Control technologies. One is on a macro level, keeping certain jurisdiction out and the other is on a micro level, working only within a certain jurisdiction. The Macro eBorder Control technology uses a proprietary database developed by Virtgame.com to limit Internet users of certain jurisdictions from doing e-commerce with a specific Web site. The Micro eBorder Control technology uses a telephone caller origination identifier system together with a proprietary dial-up connection and a plug-in Active User Verification Software. ``Virtgame's scalable Internet Gaming Platform as well as our proprietary 'eBorder Control' technology has caused market demand for a new business model that includes providing Internet software licensing, hosting and consulting to businesses targeting the international government lottery market,'' said Joseph R. Paravia, president and chief executive officer of Virtgame.com. ``We believe the market for our product is large enough that our new B-to-B strategy will not jeopardize our own B-to-G initiatives.'' |
