Thunderbird Reports Private Placement

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – (PRESS RELEASE) -- International Thunderbird Gaming Corporation ("Thunderbird") (CNQ:ITGC.U)(FSE:OSJ) is pleased to announce that trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange commenced on April 12, 2005. In conjunction with the new listing, Management launched an aggressive Investor Relations program that is initially directed at the European community. The new group of Investor relations consultants that the Company retained has been offered a non-brokered private placement on April 21, 2005, of up to 200,000 units at a purchase price of USD$1.30 per unit. Each unit consists of one common share and one non-transferable warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to purchase one common share for a term of five years from the closing date at $2.00 per share. Thunderbird will not pay a finder's fee in connection with this private placement. The hold period for the common shares that will be issued in connection with this offering will be four months from the date of issuance. The funds generated by the private placement will be used by Thunderbird for general working capital.

Fiesta Casino-Manila Opening: Thunderbird opened its Fiesta Casino in Metro Manila on April 12, 2005. The property's amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course overlooking a magnificent waterfront cliffs; a 43 room hotel and three themed restaurants. The casino and full entertainment facility has been received exceptionally well. Thunderbird is conducting research and market studies to determine expansion possibilities.

Opening of the third casino in Managua, Nicaragua: In recent years, Nicaragua has become a bright spot for development in Central America, having achieved healthy growth in foreign investment and strong initiatives to assure long-term democratic stability. Thunderbird's Fiesta Casino Managua opened its doors in the last quarter of 2000. The Company's presence in Nicaragua increased in 2003 with the completion of a subsidiary merger with the local Pharaoh's Casino. Thunderbird will launch its third casino, Pharaoh's Camino Real in Managua, and it will celebrate it's inauguration on April 30, 2005 with a grand opening scheduled May 20, 2005. Pharaoh's Camino Real will offer over 180 gaming positions, a full service themed bar and restaurant and special event show area.
