Three Dead Found in Casino Parking Lot27 May 2002AUBURN, Washington – As reported by the Eastside Journal: "Three young men were found dead yesterday morning inside a car in the Muckleshoot Casino parking lot. They were discovered by a casino customer. "Auburn police say the three men, all in their late teens or early 20s, were murdered. "`These people probably were targeted,' said Auburn police Cmdr. Bob Lee. "…The victims were found about 10 a.m., slumped over inside a blue four-door 1988 Honda Civic with their hands tied. Part of the string used to restrain the men could be seen hanging out one of the rear doors. "…The vehicle had been in the parking lot, on the back side of the bingo hall, for at least several hours, according to Muckleshoot employees. "…Police had yet to determine last night whether the men were killed in the parking lot or somewhere else. There are surveillance cameras in the parking lot, and police retrieved videotapes that may help in their investigation. "…While detectives spent most of the day examining the vehicle for evidence, gaming went on inside the casino, although several customers popped outside to ask what was going on. "…`The murders won't stop them from coming to the casino,' said Robert Sison, a casino customer who lives in Auburn. `But for something like this to happen is no good for any community.'…" |
