The Ohio Lottery Announces Super Lotto Plus 2nd Chance Sweepstakes27 March 2001CLEVELAND, Ohio—(Press Release) --March 27, 2001 -- The Ohio Lottery Commission announced today that there will be an exciting Super Lotto Plus 2nd chance sweepstakes starting April 16th, 2001. ``Our players will have the opportunity to win a top prize of one million dollars, or a chance to win a 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible in this second chance sweepstakes,'' said Ohio Lottery Director Dennis Kennedy. ``Eight contestants will appear on a one-half hour special lottery television game show to win those prizes.'' Any non-winning Super Lotto Plus ticket with a minimum wager of $5.00 or more on a single ticket may be mailed in for a series of second chance drawings being held during the month of May, 2001. All tickets purchased on or after Monday, April 16th and received by the Ohio Lottery no later that the last mail pick-up on Wednesday, May 30th are eligible for the second chance sweepstakes. During each of four second chance drawings held at the lottery, two qualified entries will be selected from a drum and will become eligible to participate on the Lottery's special television game show. A total of eight contestants will compete for the prizes listed below on the television show, which will air on Saturday, June 23, 2001 on all lottery stations which also feature the Cash Explosion Double Play show (carrier stations), from 7:00-7:30 p.m. Prize Levels: One (1) cash prize of $1,000,000.00 One (1) cash prize of $100,000.00 Two (2) prize packages to include a 2001 Chevrolet Corvette® Convertible and cash with a total value of $100,000.00 Four (4) cash prizes of $25,000.00 A $5,000.00 cash bonus will be awarded to each retailer that sold a ticket to one of the lucky contestants selected to appear on the television game show. Retailer bonuses will be awarded after the June 23rd game show airing. Players can win these six ways Match all six numbers: win jackpot Match 5 out of 6 numbers plus the bonus ball number: win $10,000 Match 5 out of 6 numbers: win $1,500 Match 4 out of 6 numbers plus the bonus ball: win $500 Match 4 out of 6 numbers: win $100 Match 3 out of 6 numbers plus the bonus ball: win $5 |
