The Brook to host comedy act by Jeremy Piven

8 August 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Brook, New Hampshire’s largest casino located minutes from the Massachusetts border, announced that it will host a comedy show with Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian Jeremy Piven and a meet-and-greet with Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame pitcher Tim Wakefield in its newly unveiled showroom on 8 and 9 September.

The events are the debut of the newly built showroom, which offers comfortable couch seating and booths, high-top tables, a dedicated bar area, and multiple VIP sections. The upscale venue is the latest amenity introduced at the 90,000 square-foot Las Vegas-style casino that has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation since Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resort acquired the former Seabrook Park property in 2019.

“The Showroom is a welcome and highly anticipated addition to The Brook as we continue to provide a first-class casino entertainment destination experience for all of New England,” said The Brook’s CEO Andre Carrier. “The showroom will host a regular schedule of comedians, tribute bands and headliner acts and we’re thrilled to host two well-known personalities in Jeremy Piven and Tim Wakefield.”

On sale now at LiveFreeandPlay.com, tickets for the Piven show on Thursday, 8 September start at $50. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Piven is best known for earning three Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes for playing the role of the mercurial Ari Gold character in the HBO hit series “Entourage.”

Wakefield, the famed knuckleball pitcher who won two World Series titles with the Red Sox, will appear at The Brook on Friday, 9 September. Following a 30-minute VIP-only session at 3 p.m., Wakefield will spend time with fans, sign autographs and pose for pictures until 5 p.m.

The Brook recently increased the number of gaming machines on its newly expanded casino floor to over 400, including popular titles from Aristocrat Gaming and Konami Gaming such as Buffalo Gold, Buffalo Chief, Mighty Cash Double Up Lucky Tiger and China Shores.

In addition to simulcast racing seven days a week, The Brook, which has donated more $5 million to local charities and organizations since 2019, features a range of casino table games, including blackjack, roulette, craps, and a live poker room. In addition, a state-of-the-art DraftKings Sportsbook features a 500-seat sports bar and grill with both indoor stadium and outdoor deck viewing environments, four massive cinema screens and more than 200 additional televisions.
