The Bicycle Casino Hosts One of the Biggest and Most Exciting Poker Tournaments of the Year7 August 2000BELL GARDENS, California –(Press Release)-- Aug. 7, 2000 -- On August 2, one of the most exciting poker tournaments of the year, The Legends of Poker, began in Los Angeles at The Bicycle Casino. This tournament runs from August 2-30 and will feature some of the best players in the country! There are 25 events on the schedule, with buy-ins ranging from $100, all the way up to the $5000 buy-in No Limit Hold 'Em Championship Event. The prize pool in this year's landmark event is expected to be over $2,000,000, including a Best All-Around Points Championship. The point leader will drive away in a brand new 2000 model Chrysler PT Cruiser valued at $30,000! The 16 points leaders following the winner share in $50,000 in cash awards. The Bike will also host several special events, including a Media Tag Team event featuring half Stud, half Hold 'Em. Teams will consist of three to five players and The Bicycle Casino will donate $5000 to the winner's charity. Also on the agenda is ``A Day Off For Golf,'' organized by Casino Player Relations host Jeff Craig who is busy making all the necessary arrangements for a day of fun and sun at the Rio Hondo Golf and Country Club. The Bicycle Casino boasts 130 live-action tables, featuring No Limit Hold 'Em, Omaha, Hi-Lo 7-Card Stud, Lowball, Mexican Poker, Crazy Pineapple and Pan. Also featured are all the best California games like No-Bust 21st Century Blackjack, California Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Pan 9, Pai Gow Tiles, 5-Card Stud and Chinese Poker. |
