Texas Man Wins $8 Million Slot Jackpot11 March 2002SHREVEPORT, Louisiana – As reported by the Associated Press: "A Texas firefighter won an $8 million slot machine jackpot in what casino officials are calling the biggest slot payoff in state history. Richard Lee Massey, 47, of Livingston won the pot Friday night at Hollywood Casino in Shreveport. He said he had put about $40 worth of quarters in the Jeopardy! slot machine when he hit the jackpot. "The exact sum was $8,152,574.34, casino spokesman Jim Wise said. "Casino officials believe Massey's jackpot was the biggest single payoff on a slot machine in Louisiana history…" |
