Teens Accused of Running Gambling Den

19 February 2002

PENNSYLVANIA –As reported by the (Philadelphia) Daily Local: "More arrests may be made in the case of two Downingtown-area teens accused of running a speakeasy and gambling den out of an Upper Uwchlan barn, police said, but the arrests might not be immediate.

"`At another point in my life, I would have paid more attention to what they were doing,' said Alan W. Laffkas, who allowed the boys to use the barn for their landscaping and firewood business. `But I wasn't around much. I probably only saw them once a week.'…"
